Here are some photographs of the pond by the beehives at VanDusen Gardens. I watched mud wasps taking dark muck right from the bank of the pond in a niche between two rocks. I am eager to take a jar and scoop up some water to examine some of the wonderful bugs living in the water, and to make the desk top biosphere in issue 10 of Make Magazine.
