Basic Beespeaker Tips for Everyone
--Cultivate a gentle, receptive non-harming presence. (Ahimsa)
--Practice speaking in a soft, soothing voice.
--Cultivate an awareness of bees. Pay attention to the minute details.
--Keep an insect journal. Mark down the first ladybug of the year that you see. Fill it with sketches and notes on insects. Count the bees on the way to school and keep track of them in your book. Make notes of the relationships of specific insects to specific kinds of flowers. Write poems and songs for and about the bees.
--Read all you can about bees and other insects.
--Study the relationship between cultivated and wild bee species.
--Be attuned to the energy and non-verbal communication of the people around you. Give them the gift of your calming energy.
--Find a quiet garden where you can fall into a drowsy state of meditation. Lose yourself in the bees around you.
--Learn to see life from a bee's eye view.
--Plant medicinal herbs for the bees.
--Learn to hear and sniff like a bee.
--Imagine a life without bees, then nourish a sense of gratitude for the presence and diversity of bees.
